Rosé, Chèvre and Vernet
Rosé… is, well, Rosé.
Chèvre is goat cheese…
and Vernet? Joseph Vernet is a remarkable 18th century French painter whose painting of sea ports, skies, seascapes and working people set a new bar for French painting. His work is the inspiration for our Closing Night film “FRENCH TOUR – Tour de France” with Gérard Depardieu. Come to the films and Reception Friday afternoon and see reproductions of Vernet’s French Ports series.
After the films, Robert Rex of Deerfield Ranch winery will discuss his philosophy of Rosé and we will sample a taste of his rosé as well as Ashton Vineyards Rosé of Syrah.
