In the 1960’s, one of greatest discoveries in wine world was the acknowledgment of Georgia as the birthplace of wine. A young man, dreaming of emigration and seeking his place in life, starts traveling the wine route: England (greatest civilization of wine commerce) and France – (Chateau Margaux, Chateau d’Yquem, Chateau Smith Lafitte, Chateau Branaire-Ducru). The discoveries during his wine adventure bring him back to the birth place of wine, his own birth place: Georgia.
Nana Jorjadze is a film director, scriptwriter and actress. Born in Tbilisi, graduated a musical school (1966), In 1972 graduated architectural department at the Tbilisi State Academy of Fine Arts , after, in 1980 graduated Tbilisi State Theatre and Cinema Institute (1980). Director of the award winning film “Trip to Sopot” in 1979. “Robinsonada or My English Grandfather” (1987) Caméra d’Or at the 1987 Cannes Film Festival and both critical and popular acclaim. She directed several films including “A Chef in Love” (1996) which was nominated for the Oscar. Nominated for the European Film Academy Award, and won many different prizes from International Film Festivals. She was the Jury in more than 100 International Film Festivals including Cannes, Venice, San Sebastian, Karlovy Vary, etc. Member of European Film Academy.
