A girl, a gun and a last chance.
Devan moves back home to care for her father, who has suffered a stroke. When her father’s condition worsens, Devan’s sister checks their father into an assisted care facility, against Devan’s wishes. It is up to Devan and friend Kyle to get her dad out of there, by any means necessary.
Scott Ballard is an award-winning writer, director, producer and director of photography with 15 years experience behind the camera creating narrative features, shorts, documentaries and music videos. His most recent work, Death On A Rock has played 35 festivals around the world, winning Best Actress & Best Ensemble Cast at the 2015 LA Indie Film Festival; Best Female Role at the 2015 Philadelphia Film Festival; Grand Jury Prize Best Narrative Feature at the 2015 Columbia Gorge International Film Festival; Best Feature Film at the 2016 Boise International Film Festival and the 2016 Ozark Foothills Film Festival, and Best Editing at the 2016 Southampton International Film Festival along with 9 additional nominations.
He has worked in Seattle, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York City and Boston before settling in his native NW corner of the country to focus on his dedication to independent cinema. In the 8 years residing in Portland, he has so far written, directed, produced and released 3 feature films plus several short films and documentaries. As a freelance filmmaker, he has produced 6 feature films and worked as the cinematographer for 7 feature films, all shot in and around the Northwest.
