Description

An inconsolable widower finds the rhythm in his blues.

Grieving widower Earl attempts to overcome the loss of his wife, Katie by delving into his work as a doctor. It takes the persistence of a kind neighbor and the reignition of a musical passion to bring Earl back to life. Randy Kovitz wrote, produced, directed, and starred in this moving picture. His portrait of grief paints a picture of human empathy in the face of hardship.


Director's Bio

Randy Kovitz is an award-winning filmmaker whose most recent effort, Lightweight, won the Remi Special Jury Award at the Houston International Film Festival.
As an actor, recent credits include he Netflix series Z – The Beginning of Everything with Christina Ricci, Concussion, with Will Smith; The Fault In Our Stars, with Shailene Woodley and Laura Dern; The Following; and Parks and Recreation. He has also worked behind the camera as a fight and stunt coordinator.
His music and spoken word band LIES LIKE TRUTH played regularly around L.A. from the ’90s though the early 00’s, earning a loyal audience and a number of awards.
