    The Master Class with James Ragan will focus on the “Principals of Dramatic Structure” in learning the Craft of Screenwriting. It will focus on the further goal of How to Read a Film by understanding the importance of “Backdrop” in plotting and character development. The invitation to the group is to bring their passion for film and writing to the session (and their good humor).

His path is full of difficulties, but the transforming power of music and the friendship arising between the professor and his students open doors into a new world. ************************ The film show and discussion starts at at 7:30pm. Preceded by: LIVE MUSIC AT 6:30pm Student musicians from the Santa Rosa Symphony's “El Sistema” Simply Strings Honor Ensemble conducted by Timothy Zieminski, perform before the film at 6:30pm. Following the film there will be a discussion about the transforming power of music with the Santa Rosa Symphony Director of Education and Simply Strings Coordinator. Proceeds will help support the Simply Strings program.

"A Walk in the Park with David Vassar" is an epic life-long film retrospective through America's magnificent Yosemite, Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, Yellowstone and Death Valley National Parks, among others, highlighted with personal stories from Vassar's lifetime of environmental filmmaking. Following the film there will be a Q&A with David Vassar. And an Optional VIP Reception.
