Description

Over the past forty years, Sebastopol, California nursery owner Polo de Lorenzo has created a rare and alluring garden which draws its inspiration from childhood memories of his native Canary Islands. In “The Spanish Gardener,” Mr. de Lorenzo reveals his “garden of earthly delights” and muses on the secret of living the “beautiful life.” Part of the Special Alumni Award to Joshua Dylan MellarsTribute.


Director's Bio

Joshua Dylan Mellars is an award winning film director and producer whose recent work includes Shakespeare in the Shadows, a celebration of the 400th commemoration of the master dramatist’s life and work, and The Land of Nod, a lyrical reimagining of the classic Robert Louis Stevenson poem. He is the recipient of the Wine Country Film Festival Alumni Award.

    Joshua Dylan Mellars is a multi award winning filmmaker whose films screened to acclaim throughout the world. His award winning music documentary trilogy (Tango Illusions, Heaven’s Mirror and Play Like a Lion) all have played at WCFF and around the world. Joshua received the WCFF “Distinguished Cinema Artist Award” (2011) to a “masterful filmmaker who blends music, imagery, poetry and narrative”. We are thrilled to pay tribute again to this talented individual. His Narratives in this show are produced by Abuela Luna Pictures, and the Documentaries are produced by KRCB North Bay Public Media. There will be a reception before the films and a Q&A after the program concludes.
