Through a colorful mosaic of stories, this documentary film aims to demystify the world-famous French winemaking region and offers a rare insider glimpse into the lives of the passionate people working in Burgundy’s wine industry.
The film is an intimate journey into the normally inaccessible caves and domains of this exclusive wine region, introducing us to the winegrowers, chef’s and even truffle hunters that make Burgundy so special. We meet Maison Joseph Drouhin’s 4th Generation Winemaker Véronique Drouhin-Boss, Maison Alex Gambal, Jacques Lardier, often referred to as “The Master of Burgundy”, Winemaker Vincent Bouzereau, Winemaker Olivier Leflaive, Winemaker Philippe Duvernay, co-owner of Chassagne-Montrachet Domaine Coffinet-Duvernay together with his partner Laura Coffinet, Michelin Chef Laurent Peugeot of Le Charlemagne Pernand-Vergelesses, Burgundy, Michelin Chef Jérôme Brochot of Jerome Brochot Restaurant, Montceau-les-Mines, and Truffle Hunter Karine Magnin of Les Truffières de Crépey, Burgundy.
Join us for a wine tasting and discussion after the film led by Françoise GROSBOIS, who is visiting from Paris. She grew up in Burgundy near Vézelay.
